About me
I’m Marcel den Hartog, born in 1977. I see myself as an adventurer and explorer. Together with my wife, Atie, I live by the beautiful river Linge in Leerdam, where we enjoy the peace, the nature, and our shared passion for travel.
From a young age, I realized how important it is to stay true to yourself—even if that means swimming against the current. Growing up in a strictly religious family, I felt an early urge to choose my own path. At sixteen, I set off on my first major journeys to the United States and Australia—places that, to me, represent freedom and limitless possibility.
In 2000, I had my first mystical experience during a Māori ritual in New Zealand. This marked the beginning of my journey into ancient wisdom traditions. Ever since, I’ve been devoted to translating those insights into practical applications for personal development—aligned with the challenges of our time.
I stand in a direct initiatory lineage within the Hermetic Tradition, from Dion Fortune to Dr. Andy Cooper—under whom I study personally. For my professional development, I completed several post-graduate programmes at Phoenix Opleidingen in Utrecht, including Systemic Work, Transactional Analysis, and the Trainer programme for guiding people at the level of identity. In addition, I am internationally certified as an NLP & HNLP Trainer, a Reiki Grand Master, and an Advanced Theta Healing™ practitioner.
The desire to explore remains my driving force.
